LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Gorilla Nation (www.gorillanation.com), the world’s largest online ad rep firm, today launched GNMulticultural, its newest vertical market aggregating dozens of leading web properties servicing the African-American and Latino communities.

The company will be aggressively targeting and signing premium web properties that cater to multicultural audiences to augment its existing offering of African-American sites such as Mocha City (www.mochacity.com), Bossip (www.bossip.com) and ClutchMagOnline (www.clutchmagonline.com); and Latino sites such as Lossip (www.lossip.com), LaMusica (www.lamusica.com) and VivirLatino (www.vivirlatino.com). A dedicated team of sales specialists who understand the unique needs of this audience will be leveraging GN’s successes with many other specialized vertical markets, such as GNKids. They will be out in the field presenting quality niche sites with highly passionate and loyal users to the brand marketers seeking to engage these audiences.

“African-American and Latino internet users no longer only visit BET or Univision,” stated Aaron Broder, Gorilla Nation CEO. “Their online behavior is consistent with broader usage patterns as users migrate away from the portals and top 100 sites into the midtail, where they can enjoy quality niche content developed specifically for them. We’re looking to aggressively add several ethnic marketing professionals to our existing multicultural team while pursuing quality African-American and Latino publishers who can benefit from the effectiveness of a global sales force.”

The potential size of the online ethnic advertising market is reflected in the buying power of the multicultural population, which is projected to climb to $3 trillion by 2011. More importantly, the influence of new media among U.S. minority groups is growing more rapidly than the average measures for all adults (Selig Center for Economic Growth, 2007).

About Gorilla Nation Media, LLC

Gorilla Nation is the world’s largest online ad sales rep firm. The company exclusively represents the online ad inventory of over 500 leading midtail™ web publishers, and sells integrated media and promotional programs to Fortune 500 brand advertisers. Working closely with its web publisher partners, GN’s expertise within 35 select vertical markets provides advertising clients the ability to build high impact, rich media programs across one or more properties to provide superior audience reach. The company is committed to delivering integrated creative media programs, from concept through execution, and exceptional customer service. Founded in 2001, Gorilla Nation is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, Chicago and Toronto.

Moguldom Capital Markets Research Team

We had a great month in March by shorting rallies in the DOW, shorting USD, and we were able to catch Bear Stearns on the short side before the collapse. We retain a bearish bias on U.S. equities and the U.S. dollar. Our research team believes we are only in the second inning of the biggest credit crisis in the history of the world. We expect some players looking for a bottom and trying to be cute by “buying when there is blood in the streets” are going to see their blood in the streets later this year. You have to know when to buy when there is blood in the streets and now is not the time.

The election of a pro-economic reform President in Taiwan sets up a new way to play potent China growth in the future. There is certainly no bubble in Taiwan and we believe there is room for the Taiwan stocks to run up. We are long the Ishares EWT.

Most of us don’t have the discipline to stay focused on a single goal for five, ten, or twenty years, giving up everything to bring it off, but that’s what’s necessary to become an Olympic champion, a world class surgeon, or a Kirov ballerina. Even then, of course, it may be all in vain. You may make a single mistake that wipes out all the work. It may ruin the sweet, lovable self you were at seventeen. That old adage is true: You can do anything in life, you just can’t do everything. That’s what Bacon meant when said a wife and children were hostages to fortune. If you put them first, you probably won’t run the three-and-a-half-minute-mile, make your first $10 million, write the great American novel, or go around the world on a motorcycle. Such goals take complete dedication.Jim Rogers

Premier Urban Social Media Site Adopts Leading-Edge Technology to Enhance User Experience

NEW YORK – [April 9, 2008] –Moguldom Media Group, an innovative new media company, today announced that its Livesteez site has become the first urban-focused social media property to embrace Google’s Open Social framework. Backed by leading social sites like Bebo, MySpace, and hi5, OpenSocial allows developers to create programs that can run on many social networks. Launched earlier this year, Livesteez has quickly won a strong following as the premier social media website geared to urban consumers.

“While we’re pleased with the rapid success Livesteez has achieved, no site can afford to become complacent in today’s fast-moving social media space. We’re committed to making Livesteez the ultimate online destination for young African-Americans everywhere, and we continually explore the latest social media technologies and methods to enhance the experience we provide to our members. Our early adoption of OpenSocial positions Livesteez for the future by making it simple for us to integrate exciting new features into the site,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group.

Moguldom’s embrace of OpenSocial enables the company to harness one of the most powerful trends in social media: the creation of add-on applications for social networking sites by third-party developers. In the past, site-specific technologies have limited the ability of developers to build applications compatible with a wide range of sites. As an emerging standard, OpenSocial makes it simple for sites to take advantage of the full range of innovation on the market. Other leading social networks implementing OpenSocial, includeBebo, Engage.com, Friendster, hi5, Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, orkut, Six Apart, Tianji, and XING.

“As the social networking space becomes increasingly competitive, the most successful sites will be those that harness the kind of innovative thinking behind OpenSocial,” said Chris Page, Chief Developer for Moguldom Media Group. “This leading-edge technology will make it simple for us to put the full creativity of the developer community to work on Livesteez.”

Livesteez combines online video and other unique content with social networking tools to offer a truly comprehensive online experience to urban consumers, from finding a date to debating politics to catching up on the latest news and entertainment. The site’s video content is powered by Limelight Networks, the content delivery network behind Facebook, brightcove, and iFilm.

About Moguldom Media Group
The Moguldom Group is a new media company with a portfolio of popular niche blogs that includes Bossip.com, the leading celebrity gossip website serving African American consumers; Lossip.com, a similar website serving Latin American consumers; F-Listed, which covers general celebrity gossip with a unique edge and male sensibility; MingXingYao.com, a Mandarin-language blog covering Chinese celebrities; and Livesteez, a video-oriented urban social networking site. All Moguldom Media Group properties benefit from a favorable online advertising environment, unique credibility within the communities it serves, and strong strategic relationships.

Urban Gossip Website Hailed as “The Most Viciously Hilarious Gossip Site on the Internet”

New York (PRWEB) January 29, 2008 — Moguldom Media Group, an innovative new media company, gained even greater notoriety recently with a prominent write-up of its Bossip.com blog in the February 2008 issue of GQ magazine. The article confirms the status of Bossip.com as one of the hardest-hitting, highest-profile gossip blogs for any community.

As the leading celebrity gossip website serving urban consumers, Bossip.com has grown rapidly to reach more than four million unique visitors per month. While it serves as a vital publication for advertisers targeting this community, the site’s appeal also transcends ethnicity–in GQ’s words, “Every Web site on the Internet reports on Britney’s latest journey to Starbucks, but none do it with the je ne sais quoi of Bossip.”

Oh, my clients definitely look … and they’ve had to learn how to laugh at what gets said. GQ’s feature, which calls Bossip.com “the most viciously hilarious gossip site on the Internet,” continues a rising volume of media attention that has included numerous mentions by the New York Daily News, New York Times, Boston Globe, USA Today, Washington Post, VH1, TMZ, and other major media outlets.

Bossip.com’s distinctive voice, insider access, and rampant popularity have also caught the attention of the celebrities it targets. GQ quotes a “music-industry publicist with an A-list roster” as saying, “Oh, my clients definitely look … and they’ve had to learn how to laugh at what gets said.” Regular readers include celebrities such as 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian.

“We welcome the attention of GQ and hope its readers will check us out,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group. “Of course, we don’t need them to tell us how well we’re doing. With more than four million unique visitors every month and potent cultural currency, Bossip.com has emerged as the definitive voice for young, hip, popular culture-obsessed members of the urban community.”

Livesteez blends rich video content with social networking features for a comprehensive online experience.

New York (PRWEB) January 8, 2008 — Moguldom Media Group, an innovative new media company and investment firm, today announced the launch of Livesteez, a video-oriented social networking website geared to urban consumers.
“As the social networking and online video space matures, the next wave of growth will come in niche social networking websites targeting select demographics,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group. “Our strong roster of celebrity blogs validates our expertise in serving this kind of audience and providing advertisers with an effective marketing platform to reach them. Said Frazier, “We wanted to offer our loyal Bossip readers something more–new forms of entertainment, new ways to interact with each other, new people to meet. Livesteez will provide even greater value for both our visitors and our advertisers.”

Quattro Wireless Will Create Mobile Optimized Websites and Sell Ads for Moguldom Media Group

New York (PRWEB) October 15, 2007 — Moguldom Media Group today announced a partnership with Quattro Wireless to produce mobile-specific versions of Moguldom’s celebrity gossip websites Bossip.com, Losssip.com, and Flisted.com. Quattro Wireless will also be the exclusive ad sales partner for these mobile properties.

As Web-enabled cell phones, pagers, and other devices become widespread, mobile content is growing rapidly in popularity, fueling an equally sharp rise in mobile advertising revenues. Marketers have embraced mobile devices as a uniquely effective vehicle to reach today’s on-the-go consumers, spending an estimated $33.2 million this year according to research firm The Kelsey Group. This figure is expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 112% through 2012, when it is projected to reach $1.4 billion.

Moguldom will work with Quattro Wireless to capitalize on this vast opportunity by building and managing dedicated mobile versions of Bossip.com, Lossip.com, and Flisted.com. Quattro’s GetMobile™ platform will automatically detect each visitor’s mobile browser, then deliver content optimized to leverage its unique characteristics for the best possible user experience.

According to Lars Albright, Vice President of Business Development, “We look forward to working with Moguldom to deliver a premium experience to their readers through any Web-capable mobile device, as well as to help them monetize their mobile traffic by selling and targeting ads to their audience. Moguldom represents a family of sites that will translate well to the mobile environment and should attract a large audience that will be compelling to a range of advertisers.”

“Quattro’s outstanding reputation, financial resources, and partnerships with leading online publishing brands make them the ideal partner to mobilize our content and put latest celebrity gossip at our readers fingertips no matter where they are,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group. “Together, we will achieve the same high levels of quality and profitability for our mobile sites as their established counterparts.”

MingXingYao.com Celebrity Gossip Website Is Positioned to Capitalize on Rapid Growth in Chinese Internet Usage, Online Ad Spending

NEW YORK – [October 8, 2007] –Moguldom Media Group, an innovative new media company and investment firm, today announced the launch of MingXingYao.com, a blog covering both Chinese and American celebrities. The site builds on the proven business model of established Moguldom sites such as Bossip.com and Lossip.com, the top celebrity gossip blogs serving urban and Latin American consumers.

Published in Mandarin, MingXingYao.com is positioned to take advantage China’s of rapid growth in both Internet usage and online ad spending. 137 million Chinese consumers were online at the end of 2006, and analysts expect the emerging economic giant to overtake the United States next year. Forecasts by Deutsche Bank call for online advertising in China to reach $1.79 billion in 2008, up from $731 million this year. The 2008 Olympic Games are expected to spur further growth; the Chinese Internet portals Sina and Sohu each pulled more than $5 million in ad revenue during this year’s soccer World Cup.

As China moves online, MingXingYao.com will introduce its consumers to the engrossing world of celebrity gossip at Western levels of quality and production value, while providing advertisers with a highly engaged, largely untapped audience.

“Moguldom’s expansion into China reflects our intention to be a global player in the new media space, and adds diversity and depth to our portfolio,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group. “Our bet on the Chinese market reflects our confidence that the best opportunities are often found in places most players neglect—or fear—to look.”

Said Jasmine Lin, editor in chief for MingXingYao.com, “We’re excited to take the Moguldom model overseas with MingXingYao, which is Mandarin for ‘celebrity wanted.’ For anyone who loves the Chinese entertainment industry as much as we do, MingXingYao will be a can’t-miss place for the most up-to-date coverage of all the celebrity action.” The site’s editorial staff also includes Assistant Editor Suping Zhang.

About Moguldom Media Group
All Moguldom Media Group properties benefit from a favorable online advertising environment, unique credibility within the communities it serves, and strong strategic relationships

Urban Gossip Website Gains Visibility through Mentions by A-list Celebrities; Other MMG Properties Achieve Similar Gains

NEW YORK – [October 8] –Moguldom Media Group, an innovative new media company and investment firm, today announced rapid growth in traffic for its demographically targeted celebrity gossip blogs, which include Bossip.com, Lossip, F-listed, and other properties. The continued success of the websites validates Moguldom’s vision as well as its execution as the company prepares to launch its new social networking site, Livesteez.

Bossip.com, the leading celebrity gossip website serving urban consumers, notched a 537% increase in traffic over the past six months, with 158%% growth in the last three months alone as measured by Google Analytics. The site drew 37.1 million page views during the six months measured, including 9.8 million in September, from 2.2 million unique visitors.

The strong performance of Bossip.com for advertisers targeting urban consumers is amplified by the blog’s cultural currency among influential members of the community. Celebrities such as 50 Cent, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian have talked about reading the blog in interviews published last month, and Bossip.com recently completed its own interview of Ja Rule. Moving forward, the site will aggressively grow both readership and ad revenue through an intensified focus on exclusive content and breaking celebrity news, the addition of talent to its creative writing staff, and search engine optimization to further raise its profile.

Moguldom’s success with Bossip.com is echoed throughout the company’s portfolio. Lossip.com, a similar website serving Latin American consumers, continued its fast start with rises of 131% over the three months, drawing a total of 1 million page views from 454, 209 unique visitors. F-listed, Moguldom’s male-oriented celebrity gossip site, saw traffic rise 524% over the last three months. The site drew 1.2 million page views from 430,286 unique visitors.

Bossip.com’s large and loyal audience will soon be leveraged for the launch of Livesteez, Moguldom’s latest property, a video-oriented social networking site serving the same demographic. The company’s proven business model will also be replicated in MingXingYao.com, a Mandarin-language blog covering both Chinese and American celebrities.

“As Bossip.com continues to build its standing within urban culture, and our newer properties replicate its success in their own markets, confidence builds both within our business and among our advertisers and partners in our ability to launch compelling properties quickly and successfully, from conception through to execution,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group.

Leading Niche Blogs Including Bossip.com and Lossip.com Will Be Represented by World’s Largest Online Ad Sales Firm

NEW YORK – [August 16, 2007] –Moguldom Media Group, a division of The Moguldom Group, an innovative new media company and investment firm, today announced that it has signed Gorilla Nation, the world’s largest online ad rep firm, as the sales representative for online properties including Bossip.com and Lossip.com. Under the agreement, Gorilla Nation will be the exclusive ad sales rep for selected advertising categories within the Moguldom Media Group portfolio.

A new kind of media business, Moguldom Media Group operates targeted niche blogs like Bossip.com, the leading celebrity gossip website serving African American consumers, and Lossip.com, a similar website serving Latin American consumers, and uses advertising revenues to fund investments and speculative trades in capital markets.

As the leading online ad sales rep firm, Gorilla Nation is highly selective about the companies it works with and commands a higher cost-per-thousand (CPM) from advertisers than similar firms. Gorilla Nation chose to represent Moguldom Media Group in part because of the strength of the Bossip.com, which delivers an effective channel to reach consumers in the fast-growing African American online community. Said Brian Fitzgerald, President and Co-founder of Gorilla Nation, “We’re excited to align ourselves with Moguldom’s online properties, which combine strong content, fast-growing traffic, and an authentic personality that genuinely reflects the cultures they serve. Bossip.com has already established itself as an important voice for the African American community, and we anticipate similar success for its other properties.”

“We bring a new perspective to blogging and new media,” said Marv Frazier, CEO, Moguldom Media Group. “Unlike most blogs, which tend to be run independently by individuals, our sites share resources and expertise as part of a larger new media company. This competitive advantage has brought us strong traffic growth, strategic relationships such as our new partnership with Gorilla Nation, and links from mainstream media, and will play a key role in the many more projects in our pipeline.”

Fuelled by both advertising revenues and the yield from its investments and trades, Moguldom Media Group plans to expand its business to include similar online properties in international markets as well as satellite radio and other media channels.
